The Blue Boar Inn, located on the main road between Norwich and Wroxham, offers quality food and drink and attractively priced accommodation

Norwich is the perfect city break. The city itself has so much to offer from history to lively entertainment and nightlife. You can easily visit cathedrals, museums, theatres and galleries or bars and clubs. Just outside the city centre are many attractions to suit all ages. We have some of the best shopping in the UK from our historic open air market to 2 stylish malls and lots and lots of smaller shops in between.

The Blue Boar Inn offering fine food and drink and attractively priced accommodation (five en-suite rooms) is easy to find situated on the main road from Norwich to Wroxham. Just one mile from the Norwich ring road and ten minutes drive from the city centre. Under the ownership of David and Claudine Turnbull since 1979 the Blue Boar prides itself on supplying great food, drinks and hospitality to the whole community and were a finalist in the Eastern Daily Press Good Food Awards 2006 in the "Family Friendly" category. The Norfolk Broads are easily accessible, Wroxham being just fifteen minutes drive away. The beautiful Norfolk coast can be reached in under an hour. Just down the road is Marriott Sprowston Manor "championship" 18 hole golf course, very easily accessible from The Blue Boar Inn. Also there are 6 other courses within 30 minutes drive.

In the surrounding picturesque Norfolk countryside you will find a variety of sporting venues including golf, fishing and walking. A short drive from Norwich you will find quiet country lanes, a great number of market towns, villages and miles of open country to walk or cycle. The delights of the Norfolk Broads with over 200 miles of navigable waterways are on its' doorstep for you to cruise and fish. The North Norfolk coast is renowned by naturalists for its wide variety of flora and fauna.

Norfolk is a county rich in lavish country estates including Sandringham, a favourite retreat of the Queen (open to visitors when the royal family are not in residence) as well a large number of National Trust properties.

So whether it is for a good evening out or as a base for a city or short break come and visit the Blue Boar Inn...

"Excellent hospitality, delicious food and friendly staff - highly recommended."
